Marlia was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and grew up in both Norfolk and Virginia Beach before spending several years living in the Philippines. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant from Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Virginia, graduating in 2026. During her clinical education, Marlia completed rotations in outpatient orthopedics and skilled nursing, where she gained experience treating patients with orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, balance impairments, and post-operative needs. Her previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a podiatry practice sparked her interest in foot and ankle rehabilitation and lymphedema management. Marlia became a Physical Therapist Assistant because she has a passion for helping people regain their confidence, improve their mobility, and return to the activities they love. She is committed to lifelong learning and continuing to expand her clinical knowledge to provide exceptional care to her patients. Outside of the clinic, Marlia enjoys drawing, writing, exploring coffee shops and restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing with books, movies, video games, and board games.
